Twilight

Before anyone asks no, this is not a post about how much I hate Twilight. And no, this most certainly not a post about how much I love it either. This is more a post about how annoying it is to hear about how much people hate Twilight. Don’t get me wrong, I dislike Twilight as much as the next man, but the utter hatred for this pointless series is getting out of control.

Everyone knows how bad the writing is, and trying to read it out loud without laughing is like trying to watching the Futurama episode about Fry’s dog without crying (seriously, if you haven’t seen that episode, don’t. It’s depressing). Everyone knows how hollow the girl’s personality is, a shell if you will for every 12-17 year old girl to climb into and act out their wildest fantasy of dating a pale guy with bed head who’s as dumb as a post and doesn’t go out during the day (me?). And everyone knows how retarded it is that the vampires fucking glow rather than turn to dust. I mean really, glow? GLOW? Where in the hell did she come up with that gem? A wet dream? …sorry, that one bugs me quite a bit.

But I know what you thinking: “Not everyone knows, the fans love the series, I just want them to hear my long winded rant” (hypocritical?). Well guess what, they don’t fucking care. Their complete obsession with the Twilight series is so intense that nothing you say can sway their opinion in any way shape or form. In fact, telling them that Twilight sucks is like a parent who tells their daughter not to date someone, it’s only going to make their love for that pasty douche stronger.

So in conclusion: Ranting to the haters is pointless because we’ve all heard it and feel the exact same way, you’re not breaking any ground. And ranting to the lovers is pointless because they don’t give a shit about anything you have to say. All we can do is ignore this trend until it goes away and makes room for the new horror reboot obsession, which according to my flow chart is Frankenstein’s monster. (Mary Shelley and Boris Karloff will roll over in their graves if they make a Twilighty series out of it.)

Hey look who has a blog now? Me, that’s who. I figured that since everyone else was doing it that I had to as well. I mean, I want to be popular. And everyone wants to look good in the eyes of Bobby and Big Mike. But you might not get a lot of posts out of me, considering that unlike Mike I do most of my talking in the real world.

Also, no tab? Come one, wordpress. My paragraphs look retarded.
